Suffice it to say, things aren’t looking great for Dwayne Johnson’s film at the moment. It only made $1.9M on Friday, not counting Thursday previews.

There’s no script. No release date. No cast. And Universal isn’t even certain it wants another one—at least not unless they can slash about $150M from the budget.

The film was shot on 35mm VistaVision by three-time Oscar winner Emmanuel Lubezki and, according to Iñárritu, will be released “sometime next fall.”

Coppola has secured his next project, “Glimpses of the Moon,” and it now looks like production may begin very soon. A casting call is making the rounds in Calibria, Italy.
