Tobias Menzies — best known for his work on “Outlander,” “Game of Thrones,” and “The Crown” — is reportedly in talks for a major role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II.”
According to PopFilm, the Emmy winner is being considered to play Amadeus Arkham, the founder of the infamous Arkham Asylum, Gotham’s home for the criminally insane. The first film already hinted at this world, with Paul Dano’s Riddler ending up in Arkham State Hospital after his capture.
Robert Pattinson is set to return as Bruce Wayne/Batman, alongside Colin Farrell’s Penguin, Andy Serkis’ Alfred, and Jeffrey Wright’s Commissioner Gordon. Barry Keoghan is also expected to appear once more as the Joker.
Production is scheduled to kick off in April at Warner Bros. Studios in London, with an October 2027 release date already locked. Reeves’ original “The Batman” hit theaters in 2022 and went on to gross more than $770M worldwide.
