George Miller is telling Vulture that  “if for whatever reason the planets align,” he would make another ‘Max’ movie, but his next film project is not ‘Max.’

While Paul Verhoeven is struggling to find financing for “Young Sinner,” one of his classics is being developed for a remake. Given Hollywood’s current IP obsession, this tracks.

Paolo Sorrentino has already set up his next film. “La Grazia” (“Grace”) is set to star Sorrentino muse Toni Servillo (“The Great Beauty”). Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is being described as “a love story set somewhere in Italy.”

A trailer has been released for A24’s “Death of a Unicorn.” I have not been hearing good things about this film, shot in July 2023, which has test screened a handful of times already. The trailer hasn’t tampered down any of these doubts.

Hackman was one of the great actors of the ‘70s, standing toe to toe with De Niro, Pacino, Hoffman and Nicholson. What a man. What a career. The term “legend” should not be used in vain, but Hackman was just that.
