Spurred by strong reviews, this is great news for non-IP cinema at the box office, and even better news for Sam Raimi—who might now want to stick around and make more of these.
It’s a strong start for “Send Help,” which might have some legs. Audiences seem to genuinely like this film, which cost only $40M to produce. An R-rated, original, mid-budget movie making this type of money is a fantastic result.
