20th Century Studios and Disney are set to release the first trailer for “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” tomorrow. Ahead of that, they’ve released the first image for the film, seen above.

Stunt coordinator-turned-filmmaker David Leitch is a hot commodity right now in Hollywood. He’s so far directed “John Wick,” “Atomic Blonde,” “Deadpool 2,” “Hobbs and Shaw,” and last year’s “Bullet Train.”

It’s amusing to read that Marvel is so desperate to regain their past glories that they’re willing to bring back the original star-studded cast, including a few who had, supposedly, died in “Avengers: Endgame.”

This project goes back almost five years. Back in 2019, at San Diego’s ComicCon, Marvel had announced Ali as the next Blade. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic hit shortly after that and the film’s development took a few steps back.
