IP-crazy Hollywood will never stop. There was no chance Universal Pictures was going to let “Wicked: For Good” be the final film of the franchise.

Kubrick protégé Todd Field, who was on the set of “Eyes Wide Shut” and took part in some of the post-production work with Kubrick, is amping up theories that it was not a final cut.

The film is reportedly tracking for a massive $200M+ opening in China alone. Combined with other countries’ ticket sales, it’s on pace to earn $500M worldwide by Sunday evening.

The release date is February 20, 2026. Not necessarily the most confident scheduling move on the part of A24 but I’m definitely willing to give this one a shot.
