Trailer for Deepfake AI ‘Putin' Biopic; Set to Open on 200 Screens on January 10

I was in stitches watching the trailer for “Putin,” which opens January 10 in 64 countries, including about 200 screens in the U.S. Yes, this is a biopic about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s climb to power. The film was directed by Polish filmmaker Patryck Vega.

‘Red One’ Streams on Prime This Week; $87M Domestic Gross

Dwayne Johnson’s Christmas action movie, “Red One,” was released 26 days ago, and is now set to stream on Prime this Thursday. Starring Johnson and Chris Evans, the Santa abduction action-comedy, originally intended exclusively for streaming, severely underperformed at the box office. “Red One” has only grossed $164M worldwide on a $250M budget.

‘Moana 2’ Was Still A Disney+ Series in January 2024

Michael Mann Wants to Direct Vietnam War Movie ‘Hué 1968' After ‘Heat 2'

Mann additionally stated that after “Heat 2,” he wants to direct his long-gestating film about the 1968 Battle of Hué, one of the bloodiest chapters of the Vietnam War in which the forces of South Vietnam and U.S troops recaptured the city of Hué over one month of brutal urban fighting.
