Some D23 updates. Many more to come. Inde Navarette has been spotted backstage, which means she might get announced soon as an X-Men. Stay tuned. For now, some Pixar news…
As we know, Brad Bird will not be directing “Incredibles 3.” He was too busy shooting his decade-in-the-making project, “Ray Gunn.” Instead, Pixar handed directorial duties over to Peter Sohn, known for his work on “Elemental” and “The Good Dinosaur.”
It’s now been announced that “Incredibles 3” will release on June 16, 2028. This time around, Winston Deaver (voiced by Bob Odenkirk in “Incredibles 2”) starts a superhero league, and the story will focus on the kids, who are sneaking out and doing “super-heroic shenanigans.”
MORE: “Coco 2” will release in November 2029. The sequel is set a few years after the first film and will see lead character Miguel as a teenager.
Finally, Pixar also announced a new movie titled “Ghost Market” for spring 2028. The movie is inspired by Asian myths of stores where the living and dead interact.
“Kyle is a fast-talking teenager and content creator from Chicago,” Pixar chief Peter Docter said. “His life gets turned upside down when his mom forces him to go on vacation to Hawaii. He stumbles into a mysterious hidden market in the middle of nowhere. He realizes his hunt for a late-night snack has turned into something bigger. He’s discovered the crossroads of the living and the dead.”
Below are first-look images for “Ghost Market,” “Incredibles 3,” “Coco 2,” and Gatto” (set for 2027 release).
The trailer doesn’t exactly paint a sunny picture. In fact, things look pretty miserable in Marvel land. Sue Storm is seen in tears, while Doctor Doom appears to be on a revenge tour.
