James Wan helming “Creature From the Black Lagoon” has been confirmed (via Deadline). This could very well be his next film. It’ll be part of Universal’s Monstervse.

This weekend, Pixar announced a new original film titled “Hoppers,” which has been dated for March 6, 2026 release. A rough cut of the film was recently screened for Pixar brass in California.

It looks as though no film will be hitting all four major fall fests in 2024. There are a few titles doing three of the four, but not all four. Based on the buzz I’ve been hearing, watch out for Brady Corbet’s “The Brutalist” …

Meanwhile, we have another summer hit — $8M previews for “It Ends With Us.” The film has had strong pre-sales the entire week, and the result should lead to a $22M opening day.
