Meanwhile, we have another summer hit — $8M previews for “It Ends With Us.” The film has had strong pre-sales the entire week, and the result should lead to a $22M opening day. This one could easily hit $50M on Sunday. Never underestimate a movie adaptation based on an ultra-popular women’s novel.
However, it looks like “Deadpool & Wolverine” will retain the #1 spot. That’s $11M in Thursday showings for the MCU juggernaut. It’s set to have a third weekend of around $60M. In fact, it might pass the $1B worldwide mark by early Sunday.
