Here’s a new image of Daniel Craig in Luca Guadagnino's “Queer,” set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September. It will also be screening at TIFF and NYFF.
In the film, which still has no U.S. distribution, Craig plays a habitual heroin user luxuriating in freedom among a disconnected group of gay American expatriates in Mexico City.
Based on William S. Burroughs’ controversial novel, Guadagnino’s film stars Craig, Drew Starkey, Jason Schwartzman, Lesley Manville, Omar Appolo, Henrique Zaga, Andres Duprat, Ariel Shulman, Drew Droege, Colin Bates, and filmmakers Lisandro Alonso, David Lowery, and Michael Borremans.
As expected, Snyder's latest is being torn apart by TIFF attendees. No mercy given. The film, which had its world premiere this evening, is being called by some one of the worst movies to ever premiere at the festival.
