It works well as this menacing pastiche, but can’t quite stick the landing. That’s alright, taking place in a single location, with a budget rumored to be less than $2 million, the creative juices run freely in this film.

I’m hearing that the planned third season of Sam Levinson’s “Euphoria” has been totally scrapped. It’s not happening. They had plans to shoot it this summer, but they fell through.

That Screen Daily report from yesterday implying that Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” might “not be ready” for Cannes … I’m about to pour some cold water on it.

Variety’s Clayton Davis is reporting that “Joker 2: Folie à Deux” is a flat-out musical with 15 songs being covered throughout the film, and that’s not counting the “1 or 2 originals” recorded for the film.

The abominable “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” grossed $4.7 million in Thursday previews. This film is so bad, I still can’t grasp how the end result turned out this disastrously. Is it because Jason Reitman isn’t directing it?

Here’s one reaction. I spoke to this person last night, they were devastated by how bad the film turned out. I should mention that he’s a big ‘Beetlejuice’ fan and thought the sequel failed to deliver on the promise of the original:

Adam Sandler is, apparently, working on a sequel to his 1995 hit “Happy Gilmore,” according to Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in the original film.

“Immaculate” is what one might call a gothic slow-burn. It’s all conspiratorial, meant to leave the viewer paranoid throughout — nuns whisper, priests give dirty looks. I, sadly, couldn’t take the bait.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars in the upcoming Sony/Marvel mashup “Kraven the Hunter,” so it’s puzzling to hear him slam Hollywood for rushing out mediocre IP content when he, in fact, stars in one those movies!

THR is reporting that A24 and Alex Garland’s “Civil War” is currently tracking with a strong $24 million opening weekend. That’s ahead of A24’s current all-time best first weekend, 2018’s “Hereditary” ($13.6M).

Described as an “interactive thriller,” “Baby Invasion” is a film about home invaders, shot from a first-person shooter perspective. The invaders' faces have been treated with AI technology so that they appear as babies.

Last October, I exclusively reported that George Miller’s “Furiosa” was eyeing a Cannes world premiere in 2024. Today, it’s been made official via press release.

I’ll tackle it straight out of the gate, and it pains me to say this, but I haven’t heard good things about Caitlin Cronenberg’s “Humane.” Today’s announcement that IFC and Shudder will be releasing it in April confirmed my worst fears.
