This is for fans of Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.”
The spinoff series, “The Penguin,” focuses on the crime villain Oswald Copplepot, aka The Penguin (played by Colin Farrell). The series is set after the death of crime boss Carmine Falcone (played by John Turturro in Reeves’ first film).
Max has now released a new trailer for the series. Joining Farrell in “The Penguin” will be Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell, with Clancy Brown and Michael Zegen recurring too. A fall debut is being eyed for the show.
Farrell will again be in extremely heavy prosthetic makeup. He was unrecognizable in Reeves’ ‘Batman’. If you hadn’t known he starred in the film then there’s no way you would have noticed Farrell underneath all of that makeup. Farrell seems to be incredibly invested in this character and his backstory, we’ll see if it translates into a good show.
