First Look: Kristen Stewart and Woody Harrelson in Quentin Dupieux’s ‘Full Phil’

February 3, 2026 Jordan Ruimy

French filmmaker Quentin Dupieux has directed six films in the last four years. He’s prolific, and, while some find his brand of farcical surrealist cinema not to their tastes, Dupieux does have a large cult following.

Turns out, this French outcast’s next film, “Full Phil,” will be his starriest one yet. He’s graduated to directing Hollywood actors. No, really. The cast he’s assembled for “Full Phil” includes Kristen Stewart, Woody Harrelson, Emma Mackey, and Tim Heidecker.

Above we have our first look at K-Stew and Harrelson in the film — a Paris-set surreal comedy that Dupieux describes (via Variety) as “Emily in Paris” in hell — a fever dream, a nightmare version of it.” Sold.

An official logline shared by StudioCanal:

“Philip Doom, a wealthy American business magnate, tries to reconnect with his daughter Madeleine during an opulent trip to Paris. But French cuisine, a 1950s horror film, and an invasive hotel employee soon threaten to disrupt the smooth running of their stay.”

Cannes 2026? How can Thierry Fremaux say no to K-Stew?

There’s always something to like about Dupieux’s films. His most famous one, at least in the U.S, is “Rubber” which was about a killer car tire. I find “Yannick” to be his best film — although I’ve only seen around half of the 16 features he’s directed, so far.
