‘Madame Web' is #1 On Netflix

May 22, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

The disaster that was “Madame Web” seems to have finally found an audience on Netflix.

It’s turned into this guilty pleasure on streaming with Netflix audiences flocking to Sony’s botched superhero movie. No doubt, most are curious to see if the movie really is that bad. The latest figures claim that Sony lost $100 million on the film.

“Madame Web” has not only made it to Netflix’s weekly Top Ten list, for the week of May 13-19, but it’s taken the top spot on the U.S. chart. As for the global chart, the film is #2, just behind “Mother of the Bride”. This has led to an assortment of amusing memes popping up online.

To all the haters: BURN," tweeted one fan, and another added, "Madame Web comeback!" The film has been viewed 10.8 million times during that period. Based on Zack Snyder’s math, “Madame Web” is now bigger than “Barbie.”
