This year will no doubt be dominated by “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Tickets went on sale Monday for the Marvel sequel, which opens July 26, and Some 200,000 tickets have been sold, so far — this amounts to around $9 million in receipts. These numbers are a pre-sales record for an R-rated movie. THR is predicting “Deadpool & Wolverine” will easily cross $100 million in its domestic opening weekend, a feat no 2024 title has yet to achieve.
Before practically going bankrupt, Row K had planned to release "Cliffhanger" in August 2026 on more than 3000 screens nationwide — hopefully with Vertical it hits as many theaters.
