I don’t know how many more screen adaptations of Stieg Larsson ‘Millennium’ books I can take. I remember reading the books 20 years ago and thinking how it could be made into a great movie. Now, we’ve already had 5 of them and I’m getting sick of it.
We’ve already had the trilogy of Swedish films and 2018’s “The Girl in the Spider’s Web” starring Claire Foy. David Fincher also made a really good movie out of “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” in 2011 — I’m disappointed he declined to make a sequel out of that one.
Regardless, we now have news that Amazon/MGM is turning ‘Dragon Tattoo’ into a series, with “The Killing” creator Veena Sud set as the showrunner. No casting details have been announced and we won’t be getting anything until the strike ends.
