Good/Great Movies That Don't Deserve Their “Rotten" Scores

These 31 titles clearly have their share of detractors — that’s why they’re “rotten” — and I expect some people to question a few of these picks. That’s fine. However, I believe most are strong films, worth reevaluating.

What Movies Were Filmed in the Real-Life Casinos?

May 10, 2021 John Torre
Capture.JPG

The entertainment industry has been a tool of promotion for various industries to present to the viewers a polished image of the same to gain reverence among the mass. Over the years the casino has been a desirable background to highlight the feature of fun and good times. Nowadays, there are online casinos offering payments including credit cards and many slot options but old good offline casinos always stay in our hearts.

Although at times these casinos featured in films are nothing but movie sets there have been several movies in which the shooting took place in real casinos where one can visit to have an equally good time that they had previously watched their favourite movie characters doing. Here in this article, we are about to dive deep into the Hollywood films that featured real-life casinos.

The Hangover

The Hangover series is one of the most popular flicks from the comedy genre of the Hollywood watch list. The film features actors like Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis, who on the night of a friend’s Bachelor party, let's lose, comes under the influence of substances and does everything crazy under the sun calling it an adventure night and eventually getting into problems which they start solving the following day right after they regain their consciousness.

The film was shot in one of the most well-known establishments in Las Vegas, Nevada, called Caesar’s Palace. Caesar’s Palace has been under operation for the last 50 years if not more than that. It has a global reputation of being one of the most remarkable places having a wide variety of casino games. What makes the establishment even grander is the fine architecture that invites spectators from around the globe. It is inspired by ancient Roman architecture and is equally known for its scenic beauty.

21

The film 21 captures the world-class standard of the games offered by the Planet Hollywood Casino, Vegas, along with other progressive jackpots. Apart from being a super entertaining movie for gambling enthusiasts, the film takes the viewers through the amazing interiors of the casino leaving no question why international stars like Jennifer Lopez put up performances there.

21 Is based on major wins through the usage of tools and tactics by a group of mathematical geniuses belonging to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ocean's 11

There is hardly any cinephile who has not heard of the film which features world-class performances by Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, and so on. The film was released in the year 2001 and was shot at the famous Bellagio which is one of the top most casinos in Las Vegas.

The film is ideal for GamStop players and set looks like it is drowning in luxury and trimmed with suave and style evoking a sense of longing in people to get the taste of the Bellagio at least once in their lifetime. Bellagio was named after a village near Italy’s Lake Como. The establishment has enormous fountains having rhythmic synchronization with music.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

It has to be mentioned that this film is not everyone’s cup of tea since it takes the viewers on a journey filled with Psychedelic elements that are not suitable for everyone's understanding. For the viewers having a taste for dark comedy, it is perfectly fit for binge-watching. The film was shot at the Stardust Resort and Casino which is considered one of the most picturesque locations for gamblers to have a good time.

Apart from the luxurious decor of the establishment, this casino has a generous number of games to offer which is enough for attracting customers from around the world. The sad part is the operation of the Stardust Resort and Casino seized to exist because it was taken down in the year 2007.

Vegas Vacation

Vegas Vacation released in the year 1997 is a film that captures the most well-known destinations in Vegas for avid gamblers called The Mirage. The entire storyline of the film revolves around developing an interest in casino games.

The film does not only beautifies that image created by the Mirage but also gives a taste of the scenic beauty and the luxury sports of the establishment tapping into the longingness of viewers trying to get a taste of such a luxurious lifestyle.

Conclusion

These were some of the well-known casinos featured in major Hollywood hits, although some of them have been taken down, there are several waiting for players to be welcomed. Keep reading our movie reviews to stay updated with all new releases around the world.
