The lovey Ally Johnson and I wrote a Tribeca Film Festival preview for The Playlist. The Robert Deniro-created film festival has been a major fixture of the New York movie scene since its inception in 2002. If you haven’t attended it before, please do, not just for the movies but for the beauty of the Tribeca neighborhood of upper east-side Manhattan. The festival now draws over three million people each year, according to Wikipedia, I'm not sure how it accommodates that amount of traffic, but I'll take Wiki's word for it.
As expected, Snyder's latest is being torn apart by TIFF attendees. No mercy given. The film, which had its world premiere this evening, is being called by some one of the worst movies to ever premiere at the festival.
