It’s been announced that “Black Phone 2,” distributed by Blumhouse, is headed to VOD tomorrow. That’s only 18 days in theaters for a film that just crossed the $100M worldwide mark.

As for the box-office receipts: Variety recently claimed Warner Bros. stands to lose $100+.  But it might have been worth it just for those 11 Oscar noms alone, and it’s quite possible the film will have a lasting shelf-life on streaming.

“Bugonia,” which carries a $55M budget, expands to 1800+ screens this weekend. Lanthimos’ film had a mediocre Thursday — coming in way under $1M. It’s projected for a $4M weekend.

Snyder has started production on “The Last Photograph,” a project he’s been trying to make since 2011. The film is shooting in Colombia, with “Rebel Moon” alums Stuart Martin and Fra Fee cast in the lead roles.
