It’s way too early to speculate about next year’s Oscars, but industry insider Kris Tapley, who last worked for Netflix, has decided to start the campaign early for Sean Penn.

For whatever it’s worth, I’ve been hearing mixed things about “Sinners” which has test screened a few times already. Based on the few people I’ve spoken to, the consensus seems to be that of a messy film that unevenly balanced a handful of genres.

Well, this had good buzz. “Opus” screened last night at Sundance, and unfortunately reviews have turned out to be very mixed. So far, Screen, Joblo, The Playlist, We Live Entertainment and RogerEbert are not impressed.
