I really liked Danielle Deadwyler’s performance in “Till,” which was a mostly subdued, maybe too much so, well-shot, but semi-bland depiction of the Emmett Till tragedy.

The upcoming film is a biopic based on the life of Leonard Bernstein. It is said to span over 30 years, telling the story of the marriage between Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre.

So, much like James Cameron, Steven Spielberg is a major fan of SS Rajamouli’s “RRR.” In a conversation with Rajamouli, Spielberg praised the Indian blockbuster as “eye candy.”

After gracing us with “X,” and “Pearl” this year, filmmaker Ti West will start production in April on his trilogy capper “MaXXXine.”

As mentioned a few days ago, “Creed III” test-screened through the roof a few months ago, with Jonathan Majors highlighted as the best villain of the trilogy.

The bad news for Disney is that “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” wasn’t directed by James Cameron.

Although Pedro Almodovar is fully on-board Ana De Armas winning Best Actress for “Blonde,” he seems to be, for good reason, a major fan of Todd Field’s “TÁR.”

The just-released trailer gives off good vibes for its commercial prospects. It’s, at the very least, an interesting true story that will lure plenty of people. Ben Affleck’s hair is odd though. Matt Damon, as always, looks great.

With barely any good movies out there, I’m looking for some good recommendations for a limited series I might have missed over the years.

The sheer brilliance of “Toy Story 3” and the way its ending seemed to resonate so perfectly, so deeply, made it, by all senses of the term, a perfect trilogy capper.

In our Steven Spielberg poll from last year, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was one of only six films from Spielberg’s vast filmography to not nab a single vote from any critic.

I won’t even bother quoting Danielle Deadwyler and Viola Davis’ recent condemnations of, in their view, the racist Academy. There’s no point in beating a dead horse twice.

Okay, I get it. Michael B. Jordan’s “Creed III” is supposed to be highly entertaining. I’ve already gotten around a half dozen email reactions this year about how great it is.

If there was any cinematic justice in this world then “TÁR” and “The Banshees of Inisherin” would be the frontrunners to win Best Picture.
