‘Spider-Man: Brand New Home’ Now Tracking at INSANE $330M+ Domestic Opening

July 27, 2026 Jordan Ruimy

Hat tip to EmpireCity Box Office, who tells me Sony appears poised to deliver the biggest opening weekend in the studio’s history this Friday. Judging by the numbers, they have every reason to be ecstatic.

Sony has this little movie called “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” coming out on Friday. Yesterday, I reported that it was tracking toward a staggering $300M domestic opening. Nope. It’s much higher than that.

It turns out the current ceiling is actually $345M, which would make it the second-highest domestic opening ever, trailing only “Avengers: Endgame” ($356M). Man, Tom Holland is having one hell of a summer.

Wouldn’t it be something if Spidey somehow managed to dethrone “Endgame”? Sure, it’s still a long shot, but what if the reviews—set to drop tomorrow at 9 a.m.—are strong enough to give ‘Brand New Day’ one final boost?

Last month, the new trailer for ‘Brand New Day’ hit YouTube and amassed over 1M views in less than an hour. This film is going to be a monster at the box-office. The people love Spidey, and Spidey loves them back.

‘Brand New Day’ follows on the massive success of ‘No Way Home,’ which raked in over $1.9 billion at the global box office in 2021. At this current pace, it’ll hit the billion dollar mark by week 2.

Returning to the role, Holland once again suits up as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is there as well. The film marks the first ‘Spider-Man’ outing directed by ‘Shang-Chi’ helmer Destin Daniel Cretton. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Michael Mando, and J.K. Simmons are set to reprise their roles, while Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Sadie Sink and Tramell Tillman (“Severance”) are the new additions.

‘Brand New Day’ hits theaters July 31, 2026.
