So, Jason Momoa has reportedly exited the upcoming “Helldivers” movie over at Sony Pictures, with Justin Lin, the man behind six ‘Fast and Furious’ movies, attached to direct.
The reason for Momoa’s departure has not been disclosed, but the project remains in active development and the studio is already searching for a replacement lead. I bet they give John Cena a ring ..
The news is surprising, the movie was reportedly deep into pre-production. As a result there is questioning into what may have led to Momoa’s exit, especially with the film still moving forward toward its planned November 10, 2027 theatrical release. Maybe he finally read the script.
