After endless rumors, Variety is reporting that the search for the next James Bond has finally begun, with Amazon/MGM Studios starting auditions in recent weeks as it looks to find a successor to Daniel Craig’s 007.
The studio has brought in casting director Nina Gold to lead the process, tapping her experience on “Game of Thrones,” “The Crown” and multiple “Star Wars” films. Amazon/MGM confirmed the process is underway but declined to share details, saying it will reveal more “when the time is right.”
Denis Villeneuve is set to direct, with Amy Pascal and David Heyman producing and Steven Knight writing the script. While speculation continues over possible contenders—including Jacob Elordi, Callum Turner, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson—we’re looking at a process that might take the whole summer before an actor is officially announced.
