Here’s Cryptic HD QUALITY, whom, along with EmpireCity Box Office, is an X account with great intel/sources. Well worth a follow.
They are reporting that Steven Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” has a runtime of about 2 hours 25 minutes, and according to his info, Spielberg’s film might actually be longer than Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” which recently screened a cut internally that ran around 2 hours 20 minutes.
Furthermore, they’ve heard “Disclosure Day” is a “great” and “complex” film, which is great news, especially if you haven’t been entirely sold by the trailers like I was.
Spielberg tends to make rather lengthy films, almost always getting final cut — there are only two instances in his career where we are certain he didn’t get the last word on what was released: “The Sugarland Express” and “The Color Purple.”
As far as Spielberg’s 21st-century films go (sixteen total), only four failed to exceed the 2-hour mark, with his lengthiest films being “Munich” (164 minutes), “West Side Story” (156 minutes), “The Fabelmans” (151 minutes), “Lincoln” (150 minutes), “A.I. Artificial Intelligence” (146 minutes), “War Horse” (146 minutes), and “Minority Report” (145 minutes).
In the meantime, we have another look at the design of the aliens in “Disclosure Day,” which can be seen below. It’s blurry, but it more or less gives us an idea as to what to expect.
The ensemble cast includes Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, Wyatt Russell, and Henry Lloyd-Hughes, with Steven Spielberg crafting the film’s original sci-fi concept alongside longtime collaborator and screenwriter David Koepp (“Jurassic Park”).
“Disclosure Day” hits theaters on June 12.
