Last year, Warner Bros. pushed David Robert Mitchell’s “Flowervale Street” from its original May 2025 release to March 13, 2026. They eventually settled on August 14, 2026 — which Warners seems to now be sticking with.
In an interview with The Wrap, Warner Bros. film studio heads Pam Abdy and Michael De Luca go through their 2026 slate and mention that Mitchell’s film will have a title change. I guess they believe “Flowervale Street” isn’t a title that would translate easily to global audiences or fully capture the tone or genre of the movie, so they’ll probably land on something more evocative or marketable.
The film stars Ewan McGregor and Anne Hathaway and has been described as an “‘80s-set thrill ride,” shot on “IMAX,” with dinosaur elements and a budget around $85M. Recently confirmed: there are dinosaurs. Lots of them. De Luca compares the film to a “Twilight Zone” episode.
On a side note, in that same interview, Abdy and De Luca don’t mention J.J. Abrams’ upcoming “The Great Beyond,” which leads me to believe they’re still uncertain where to place it on the 2026 calendar — or maybe they’ll just punt it to 2027.
