Rumor: Dave Bautista Joins Damien Chazelle’s Prison Movie

I’ve been holding onto this one for over a week, waiting on a response from Paramount—which, so far, hasn’t come. At this point, let’s just file it under “rumor.”

What I’m being told is that Dave Bautista is in talks to join Damien Chazelle’s Untitled Prison Movie, which already has Daniel Craig and Cillian Murphy attached to star.

Bautista has steadily built a strong résumé working with some of the biggest and most respected directors in the business, including Denis Villeneuve (3x), Rian Johnson, Sam Mendes, James Gunn and M. Night Shyamalan.

Chazelle’s film, which is supposed to shoot this October in Los Angeles, is being described as a ‘70s style, gritty, mid-budget prison drama with action elements.
