Ridley Scott, 86, has added yet another project to his slate of upcoming films, this one is an adaptation of Cirque du Soleil’s “O.” Scott recently told the Financial Times, “I already know what my next three films will be.” His Bee Gees biopic is next, but he also has “Wraiths of the Broken Land,” “BOMB” and “Queen & Country” scripted and ready to go. Scott is planning to direct films in his 90s.
Paul Greengrass’ "The Uprising," starring Andrew Garfield, opened to $3.2M from 2,068 theaters this weekend. Yikes. The budget hasn’t been disclosed, but is said to be in the $20-$30M range.
