Production is underway on John Carney’s next film, titled “Power Ballad” — Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas star in it. The film will “chart the story of a wedding singer (Rudd), a rock star (Jonas), and the song that comes between them.” Carney is the writer-director behind “Once,” and “Sing Street,” so you know what you’re getting yourself into when you watch one of his films. The Irish filmmaker specializes in musical dramas, and “Power Ballad” will most probably continue this trend.
