There’s a lot of positive takes out there on social media about Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu,” from actual critics and not just influencers. The embargo for the film doesn’t lift until December, so we’ll leave it at that.
With that said, the MPA rating has just come in for “Nosferatu” and it’ll be rated R “for bloody violent content, graphic nudity & some sexual content.” Sounds delightful.
“Nosferatu,” which stars Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård, and Willem Dafoe, has set up a December 25 theatrical release. Nothing says Christmas more like “bloody violence” and “graphic nudity.”
It’s hard to believe, but Coppola’s “Marie Antoinette” was met with boos at its Cannes premiere in May 2006. The film also received mixed reviews from critics and remains “rotten” on Rotten Tomatoes.
