A very reliable source tells me that Spike Jonze’s sci-fi Netflix series, which had Brad Pitt and Joaquin Phoenix in talks to star, was going to cost the streamer a cool $30M per episode. The series was supposed to be ten episodes, which means that the total budget would have been around $300M. Netflix need not worry anymore as it was recently reported that Jonze has left the series. Pitt and Phoenix are no longer attached.
