Hugh Jackman, no stranger to singing on-screen, has signed up to star in “Song Sung Blue,” and he’s bringing Kate Hudson along for the ride.
Focus Features announced the film, which is based on the true story of a married couple in Milwaukee, who make a name for themselves as the duo “Lightning & Thunder,” a Neil Diamond cover band.
It’s definitely worth mentioning that Craig Brewer is the writer and director of ‘Song Sung Blue.” Brewer’s made a handful of strong films, including “Hustle & Flow,” and “Dolemite Is My Name,” but recently got a nice big fat paycheck to direct the critically panned “Coming 2 America.”
“Song Sung Blue,” which also stars Michael Imperioli, and Jim Belushi, has already started filming, which means we can probably expect it to be released in 2025.
