Last December, I broke the news that Wes Anderson’s “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar” will be released this fall. Now Netflix has made it official via press release. Their date is TBD 2023.
Wes has been a busy man. His next film, “Asteroid City,” will be released next summer, with a potential splashy premiere at Cannes. However, it looks as though he’ll have two films released this year.
This is an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s ‘The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar,’ starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Kingsley, Dev Patel. Anderson will be adaptation several of those stories into an anthology.
‘Henry Sugar’ deals with a variety of stories, but the main one follows Henry Sugar, who is able to see through objects and predict the future with the help of a book he stole.
