Mungiu, Hausner, Bonello, and Sissako Receive Funding For Next Films

December 10, 2021 Jordan Ruimy

The always-reliable Cineuropa has announced that the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages TFund agreed to support new films by Cristi Mungiu (“4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Day”), Bertrand Bonello (“Nocturama”), Jessica Hausner (“Little Joe”), and Abderrahmane Sissako (“Timbuktu”).

This does not necessarily mean that the films have yet to be shot. Our very own Teddy stated earlier in the week that Bonello’s “The Beast” had wrapped production.

Abderrahmane Sissako‘s “The Perfumed Hill” started shooting late 2020, but COVID-19 has given him some issues to complete it — I believe production may have wrapped? Need more details on this one.

I have no clue if Hausner started shooting “Club Zero,” ditto Mungiu’s still untitled new film.
