I abide by Sight & Sound‘s newly unveiled list of the best films of 2020.
More than 100 voters, selected by the prestigious film magazine, have produced a list of the 50 best movies of the year UK-born Steve McQueen’s wonderful ‘Lovers Rock” took top honors, followed closely by Garrett Bradley’s “Time” and Kelly Reichardt’s “First Cow.”
Here are the top 10 best movies from the Sight and Sound poll (which is actually a top 50 and can be found in its entirety inside the magazine’s January 2021 issue.

If the movie is as rough as some in the industry seem to fear, that teaser may have been less of a marketing campaign and more of a public plea for somebody to finally take the damn thing.
