The Most Popular Films About Law Students in the UK

October 15, 2020 James Collins

Students can draw inspiration to pick a field of study and stick it through as the years go by from anything, even movies. Since pop culture tries, by all means, to be realistic and relatable, this makes it easier for students to relate to certain genres of movies.

If you are studying law or interested in legal studies, what options are there? Here are the most popular films about law students in the UK.

Denial

Denial is one of the most recent legal movies that can infuse some inspiration amongst law students. It shows how intense this industry can be as it is based on the book, History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier.

The movie was released by Studiocanal in the U.K on the 27th of January 2005. It indicates how a compelling defense can be strategized and carried out by legal professionals in a courtroom.

During the movie, it is portrayed how a defendant should act in cross-examination. Denial is one of the best depictions of a strategic court case that law students can definitely enjoy.

Another thing the law students really enjoy is when they go to British Edubirdie for assignment help, the premier academic writing service. It’s popular in the United Kingdom and is trusted by the students for all their assignments, whether it’s a thesis or an essay. Instead of spending hours on finding answers to complex questions, law students turn to professional lawyers who do academic assignments at Uk.EduBirdie.

Submarine

Submarine is a movie that most students can relate to, which depicts certain aspects of life that an average student is bound to face. Those phases of a student’s life depicted in this England-based movie are predominantly relating to the social life of Oliver Tate, the main character.

There are many highs and lows that Oliver faces, which might hit home to some students facing similar situations. The movie narrates various aspects of a student’s social life. Law students and others will definitely enjoy this movie.

As a law student, if you are facing some highs and lows of university or college, there are study organizing apps that have been designed to help you manage your schedule better and come out as a winner.

The Winslow Boy

The Winslow Boy is a movie based on a setting before the First World War and depicts a family fight in court against allegations that their young boy stole a parcel. Their son, Ronnie, is accused by the college he attends and once these allegations reach the ears of his parents, they take it to court.

This family hires the best barrister available who works on getting Ronnie reinstated back to college. Initially, the government does not want this case to go to trial but after a while, it goes to litigation.

The movie was released in 1999 and if you like old-school movies, The Winslow Boy is one of the best choices.

Starter for 10

Starter for 10 can surely be enjoyed by first-year students because it portrays the life of a freshman who gets entangled in a romantic web. This movie is set in the 1985 era and depicts a freshman who finds his footing in university and also finds the love of his life.

He starts off very successful and on top of everything but soon afterward, everything is turned upside down. He faces a lot of dramatic failures and this is a classic portrayal of the ups and downs a student faces. Law students and others can enjoy this dramatic movie that also has a romantic twist.

St Trinian’s

St Trinian’s is a movie based on a girl’s British boarding school and has some great energy and positivity in its screenplay. The movie is a comedy that depicts the fun side of college and what it could be without all the worries.

It also has that spirit of college students rebelling and having some fun out of the boundaries set by their parents and teachers. If you would like to relax and unwind as well as have a nice laugh, St Trinian’s can be the best choice. You will definitely love this comedy film during your free time.

The bottom line

As a law student or if you are studying any other faculty, college or university can be really intense. To relax and unwind, you can watch some good movies every now and then. Depending on your personal preferences, you can watch any one of the movies outlined above. There are movies based on the classical old days of Britain and even modern-day events closely relating to the legal industry with amazing characters.
