James Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy’ Casts Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor

Deadline’s reporting that Nicholas Hoult has been cast as villain Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s upcoming “Superman: Legacy.” He now joins David Corenswet in the titular role, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Production on the film is set to begin in March 2024 and has been set for a worldwide release on July 11, 2025.

Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” was originally delayed from its November 3rd release date to a March 15th, 2024 launch … it’s now been moved up to March 1st. A Berlin Film Festival world premiere now seems like a no-brainer option for Warner Bros — the 74th edition of the Berlinale will be taking place from February 15th to 25th, 2024.
