It’s been a fairly chaotic week in the comments section. So much so that I’ve had to permanently ban a few users from commenting.
I hate to do it, but when enough readers personally complain to me, there is no alternative. The chaos was a little too much and I want this site to continue being a spirited, lively but respectful place to discuss film.
The site has tripled its readership since last year, so constant moderation is an inevitable must. World of Reel is a place to talk about movies and not to insult each other’s mothers … As I’ve stated in the past, please keep discussions civil, so that everyone feels like they can have their say. Those who breach these simple guidelines will be given a suspension that may turn permanent.
The short version: "Woman Unknown" was a compromise. The jury deadlocked over "Possible Love" and "NAZA," not able to com to terms, fell back on their #3, May el-Toukhy's film.
