October 18, 2023 Jordan Ruimy

The late Tony Scott, Ridley’s brother, directed 1986’s “Top Gun” with a kind the slick ‘80s energy that director Joseph Kosinski faithfully emulated in 2022’s wildly successful “Top Gun: Maverick.”

The final trailer for Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” (11.22.23) is glorious. It’s all set to the sounds of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.” The film has yet to be screened for critics, but I’m hearing first week of November we’ll get to see this bad boy.

Martin Scorsese Sits Down with Timothée Chalamet

October 17, 2023 Jordan Ruimy

A really nice GQ conversation between Martin Scorsese and Timothée Chalamet. It’s 29 minutes long but it flies by. You can tell Chalamet is totally in awe of Scorsese. Right off the bat, Scorsese praises “Call Me By Your Name” and admits that he enjoyed “Dune.” Was he just being polite about the latter? One doesn’t “enjoy” “Dune,” but suffers through its noble and vast ambitions.
