EARLIER: I reported last month that Julian Schnabel (“The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” was going to shoot “In the Hands of Dante” with Oscar Isaac. The film is now in production, and added to the cast are Jason Momoa and Gerard Butler, via Deadline. Schnabel has loosely based his film on Nick Tosches’s hard-boiled historical novel of the same name; the film follows a scholar who steals a valuable manuscript, defying the New York mafia.
