It's OK to Admit It, Ridley Scott's ‘Prometheus' is a Great Movie

September 2, 2021 Jordan Ruimy

Don’t be too taken aback by Dom Nero‘s “It’s Time To Redeem Prometheus,” which appeared in the 9.1 edition of Esquire. He calls it a “masterpiece.” He’s closer to the truth than you think. Give the film another look if you don’t believe me.

‘Wonder Woman 1984’: Early Reactions Are Positive

December 6, 2020 Jordan Ruimy

The massive success "Wonder Woman" had two summers ago must have given director Patty Jenkins a sweet feeling of revenge on the industry, after they shunned her for 13 years following her 2004 Oscar-winner “Monster”. The WB-produced superhero movie turned out to be the second highest-grossing title of 2017 and was met with rave reviews. Now, a sequel, titled “Wonder Woman 1984” is about to be released on Christmas, with Jenkins and star Gal Gadot returning for more pesos.

‘Halloween Kills’: Jamie Lee Curtis Calls Horror Sequel A “Masterpiece" [Trailer]

October 31, 2020 Jordan Ruimy

David Gordon Green’s “Halloween Kills” had its October release delayed until 2021. ‘Gladiator 2’ Producer Confirms the Sequel Will Be Set 25 Years After the Original

June 11, 2019 Jordan Ruimy

Late last year, THR had reported that Ridley Scott was returning to the world of "Gladiator" for a planned sequel. It read like one of those kooky satirical writeups from The Onion, but it was actually true. The Oscar-winning director was indeed moving forward on a followup to his 2001 Best Picture winner. This one would follow Lucius (son of Lucilla and the nephew of Joaquin Phoenix's villainous Commodus). If you remember, Maximus saved the boy from his uncle in the 2000 film.

‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ Trailer: Because, Why Not?

March 21, 2019 Jordan Ruimy

The "John Wick" series has turned into a visceral, 21st century homage to the B-movie. It is very hard not to enjoy what Keanu Reeves and the directing duo of Chad Stahelski/David Leich have done with the first two installments . The story itself was simple: A low-key, but lethal hitman gets brutally beaten up by gangsters and, more importantly, his dog gets killed, which flicks off a switch in his head to exact the ultimate revenge. On a $20 Million budget the first filmmade $86 Million at the box-office, but, more importantly, it became an enormous hit on streaming services and home video. "John Wick: Chapter Two" made $92 Million at the domestic box-office.
