Kathryn Bigelow’s “Strange Days” has remained largely unavailable on physical media, with only an old DVD edition to its name, but Disney is finally set to release the film on 4K Blu-ray.
Many thought this one might show up this awards season, especially given the recent pedigree of Kwedar and his writing partner Clint Bentley. The film wrapped production in October 2025.
These 31 titles clearly have their share of detractors — that’s why they’re “rotten” — and I expect some people to question a few of these picks. That’s fine. However, I believe most are strong films, worth reevaluating.
Cretton, who is directing “Naruto,” also has a “Shang-Chi” sequel in development. After dropping out of “Avengers: Kang Dynasty,” he was hired to direct “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
This year’s 12th edition of the Scary Movies festival at Film at Lincoln Center premiered Ari Aster’s extended version of “Midsommar” this past Saturday.
The Initial release for David Robert Mitchell's "Under the Silver Lake" was supposed to be this summer (June 22nd), but A24 cut the chord and set it for release this coming December 7th. Now it looks like that release date will not even happen. In fact,'Silver Lake' has been bumped to next year.

I don’t know about you, but I’m kind of looking forward to the “Michael” sequel. Whether Vantoine directs it or John Logan, it doesn’t matter—it’s an inevitable sh*tshow that will result from its making and release.
