What is “Maserati: The Brothers”? Well, it cost $100M — sketchy stuff — was directed by Bobby Moresco, who shared an Oscar for co-writing “Crash” with Paul Haggis.
In 2022, Moresco directed another car movie, “Lamborghini,” which has a 6% on Rotten Tomatoes, and only made $1.3M without US release. This time around, “Maserati” has a total of 36 producers. Andrea Iervolino is the lead.
“Maserati” also has Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Jessica Alba and Andy Garcia — all no doubt paid a handsome sum of money to star, or cameo — it’s not clear. What’s more, the film will be self-distributed, no studios are involved. There is a trailer, which only puzzles us further.
What could possibly go wrong?
