‘NAZA,’ From ‘No Other Land’ Directors, Joins Venice Film Festival Competition

After much theorizing, the secret title has been added to complete the Competition lineup of the 83rd Venice Film Festival. It’s not a film that was on anyone’s radar, since it was shot in secret.

The film is “NAZA,” a new work by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, two of the four co-directors of the 2025 Oscar-winning documentary “No Other Land.” It’s produced by The Guardian, and and executive produced by Jonathan Glazer (“The Zone of Interest”).

Shot at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv, the film reveals in detail the systems behind Israel’s calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

“NAZA” will screen at the Venice Film Festival on September 10 at 5:15 p.m. in the Sala Grande at the Palazzo del Cinema. At press time, it is the only festival to have programmed the film.
