‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Has Made $16.5M in First Day of Ticket Sales

July 21, 2026 Jordan Ruimy

Here’s the exclusive from Variety: “Avengers: Doomsday” generated $16.5M in advance ticket sales on its first day of availability.

That’s twice the first-day presales of 2024’s “Deadpool & Wolverine”—and those figures included all formats and screens. By comparison, “Doomsday” tickets were available only for premium formats and in just 1,000 theaters.

For context, “Deadpool & Wolverine” opened to $211M domestically and finished its theatrical run with $1.3 billion worldwide. Unless Doomsday turns out to be a complete disaster in terms of quality—and I wouldn’t rule anything out—it’s on track to earn significantly more.

Furthermore, the first trailer nabbed 503M views over 24 hours. That ranks as the second-biggest movie trailer launch of all time, behind Sony’s upcoming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” with 719M views. And it’s Disney’s most-viewed trailer in history, besting the “Deadpool & Wolverine” Super Bowl teaser with 365M views, which included the broadcast.
