Charles Melton Joins The Daniels’ Next Film Alongside Matt Damon and Sandra Oh

More casting on The Daniels’ latest film, set up at Universal. Charles Melton is the latest to join the film; he will be part of an ensemble that includes Matt Damon and Sandra Oh.

Melton’s film career broke out with his acclaimed role in “May December” (2023). More recently, he appeared in “Warfare” (2025) and the Netflix series “Beef” Season 2 (2026). This Daniels project is set to be the most high-profile film of his career.

The Daniels, aka Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, will write and direct. There will likely be much more casting in the days ahead, as this film is very much an ensemble. A planned August shoot is set. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 19, 2027.
