Jonah Hill, coming off the miserable reviews of “Outcome,” has now had yet another one of his films delayed. This time, “Cut Off,” which was set to hit theaters in July, has been removed from the Warner Bros. calendar and is now undated.
We saw this coming. There has been zero promotion for “Cut Off,” which completed production in September 2025. Originally, Jennifer Lawrence was attached to lead the film but was later replaced by Kristen Wiig.
In “Cut Off,” Hill and Wiig portray wealthy siblings who suddenly find themselves cut off from their parents’ financial support and, for the first time, are forced to navigate adult life on their own financially. Bette Midler, Nathan Lane, Adriana Barraza, Camila Cabello, and Chelsea Peretti round out the cast.
“Cut Off” had a test screening a few weeks ago, and the feedback coming out of it wasn’t encouraging. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets quietly dumped in January 2027. It’s starting to feel like “Mid90s” might’ve just been a fluke.
