Got a small scoop for our readers today. I had been holding it for a few days now, trying to get more details, but since this has been a fairly slow news day, why not just put it out there.
Molly Manning Walker, whose debut “How to Have Sex” won the top prize at Cannes’ Un Certain Regard sidebar in 2023, has now set up her sophomore effort, titled “Not Another F*cking Wedding,” with Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.
The film, described as “Wedding Crashers” meets “Bridesmaids,” follows Bobbi, whose best friend Jess breaks their no-wedding pact by announcing her engagement, thrusting Bobbi into a whirlwind romance of her own amid the wedding chaos.
Casting is currently underway for the film, which is aiming to start production this fall. I’m told A24 is one of the studios interested in acquiring the project. Hopefully, I’ll get more updates on this one in the coming days.
