‘Evil Dead Wrath’ Begins Shooting as ‘Evil Dead Burn’ Nears July Release — The IP Machine Keeps Rolling

February 21, 2026 Jordan Ruimy

With “Evil Dead Burn” dated for July 22, 2026, under the direction of Sébastien Vaniček, the franchise has already started production on its next chapter, Warner Bros announced.

Francis Galluppi, who made his directorial debut with 2023’s “The Last Stop at Yuma County,” is now shooting “Evil Dead Wrath” with a brand-new cast that includes Jessica McNamee, Zach Gilford, Ella Newton, Charlotte Hope, and Josh Helman.

It’s rather unusual that they are already pushing another installment, with “Evil Dead Burn” not even hitting theaters for another four months, but New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. must have a great deal of confidence in Vaniček’s upcoming film to make such a move.

The franchise was rebooted with “Evil Dead” (2013), directed by Fede Álvarez, which reintroduced Sam Raimi’s cult horror classic to a new generation with a meaner, blood-soaked edge. Ten years later, “Evil Dead Rise” (2023), directed by Lee Cronin, proved the franchise could still find an audience, resulting in two additional films moving forward.
